SSE Pacifico's co-existence programme with the local community and fishery

SSE Pacifico has started to support the promotion of the fisheries in Minami-cho, Tokushima Prefecture, as a first step in its efforts to coexist with local communities and fisheries.

The objective of this initiative is to expand sales channels and raise awareness about fresh fish from Minami-cho.

A dedicated section was set up at the Super National, a supermarket in Osaka, on Saturday 23 March, where fresh fish directly shipped from Minami-cho is available for purchase on a permanent basis.

Moreover, on Saturday 13 April, three young fishermen from Minami-cho visited the supermarket to sell fish from Minami-cho directly to customers in Osaka. The face-to-face sales event ended with great success.

SSE Pacifico will continue collaborating with stakeholders to support local communities and fisheries by developing sustainable offshore wind projects.
